The new Dollar General store at 206 W. King Ave. is now open, though an official grand opening has been scheduled for Feb. 22.
Anthony Ruiz ReporterThe new Dollar General store located on the site of the former Kingsville Publishing Company building is now open for business, with a grand opening event planned for Saturday morning with free prizes and special deals.
The property deal for the building located at 206 W. King Ave., which was constructed in 1969 and served as the home of the Kingsville Record until 2009, had been finalized in September 2019. Demolition of the site began a few weeks later.
