JUST IN TIME FOR ARTWALK — Take a drive through historic downtown Kingsville and you’ll see flowers encircled around the Live Oak trees, just in time for the second annual ArtWalk on Oct. 3. It’s all part of a beautification effort by the Kingsville Historic Downtown District Association in partnership with Lowe’s, La Posada de Kingsville and the City of Kingsville. King Ranch Saddle Shop Manager Rose Morales wrote a letter on behalf of KHDDA asking Lowe’s for help with the beautification of the downtown area. Lowe’s supplied plants and flowers, and manager Rahman Moes and nine Lowe’s employees like Ray Sendejo, also pictured above, helped plant them. Also pictured putting in some flowers are three of the six Saddle Shop employees who helped, Sue Trevino, Kristine Canales and Paula Martinez.
