Manuel Elio Ramirez, 86, of Kingsville, died Sept. 22, 2009, in Kingsville.

Manuel Elio Ramirez Ramirez was born on May 9, 1923, in Bishop to Eliseo and Josefina Ramirez.

He was an auto parts retail clerk for over 20 years with Auto Zone, a United States Army WWII veteran, and a member of Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church.

Survivors include his son, Manuel Elio (Edna) Ramirez Jr. of Cotulla; his sister, Ninfa (Willie) Ruiz of Kingsville; three grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation took place Sept. 23 at Ramirez-Salinas Funeral Home.

A rosary was held Sept. 23 at Ramirez-Salinas Funeral Home.

A funeral Mass was held Sept. 24 at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church with the Rev. Paul Puthenangady officiating.

Burial followed at Chamberlain Cemetery in Kingsville.
