Belia Guerra Tamez, 72, of Premont, died on Wednesday, September 20, 2009 in Kingsville.

Tamez was born on November 5, 1936 in Rialitos to Octavio and Gertrudis Guerra.

Survivors include her husband, Ramiro Tamez Sr. of Premont; two sons, Ramiro Jr. (Esther) Tamez of Corpus Christi and Benny (Jackie) Tamez of Houston; three daughters, Rosie Tamez of Premont, Mayor Norma (Roberto) Tullos of Premont, and Crissy (Vince Lopez) Tamez of Premont; one brother Oscar Guerra of Corpus Christi; two sisters, Nicholasa (Roberto) Guzman of San Antonio and Angelica Guerra of San Antonio; 14 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.

A rosary was held Friday, October 2 at Alaniz Funeral Home Chapel.

A funeral mass was held at on Saturday, October 3 at St. Theresa Catholic Church.

Burial will follow at Premont Cemetery.
