Roberto G. Pena Roberto G. Pena, 88, of Kingsville, died Oct. 5, 2009, in Dallas.

He was born Feb. 22, 1921, to Benito and Maria Pena in Rio Hondo.

Pena was a retired carpenter contractor, lifetime member of Carpenters Local Union #1423 and member of Templo Betel Assembly of God Church.

He is preceded in death by three brothers and five sisters.

Survivors include: two daughters, Elvia P. (Joel) Cavazos of Dallas, and Asenette P. (Ron) Ayers of Spring; four sons, Robert (Dora) Pena Jr. of Fort Worth, David (Becky) Pena and Eluid Pena, both of Dallas, Dan “Kino” (Cindy) Pena of Missouri City; one brother, Jose “Pepe” De La Pena of Harlingen; 16 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 8 at Ramirez- Salinas Funeral Home in Kingsville.

A religious service will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 8 at Ramirez-Salinas Funeral Home.

A funeral service will be held at 12 p.m. Friday, Oct. 10 at King’s Way Family Church in Kingsville with the Rev. Ed Cann and the Rev. Manuel Garza officiating.

Arrangements are under the direction of Ramirez- Salinas Funeral Home.
