Angel Food Ministries is a non-profit, nondenominational organization dedicated to providing financial support in the form of food relief to communities throughout the United States. Angel Food Ministries started in 1994 in Monroe, Georgia and now they are now providing food to 41 states, via 4,000 host sites. The main Angel Food Ministries office is in Good Hope, Georgia. There are no applications or qualifications for eligibility. Anyone can participate.

The main item is a Signature Box with approximately $60 worth of food for $30. It contains top quality food staples from every food group, including chicken, beef, milk, eggs, vegetables and other nutritious items.

It will feed a family of four for about one week, or a senior citizen for almost a month. The menu varies each month, and is available a full month in advance.

In addition to the Signature Box, Angel Food Ministries also offers Senior Meals, Allergen Free Boxes and Special Units which contain primarily proteins and produce. There are 4 Specials: #1 is 6.5 lb. of assorted meats which typically includes steak, pork chops, hamburger steaks and Italian sausage for $23; #2 is 4.5 lb. of steaks including 2.5 lbs. of ribeye steak and 2 lbs. of sirloin steak for $22; Special #3 is 11 lb. random size split chicken box and; Special #4 typically includes 25-28 lbs. of premium fresh fruit and vegetables for $22.

There are no limits on the number or types of boxes an individual or family may purchase.

There have been several changes made over the years to accommodate Angel Food Ministries’ customers. Most recently are the addition of boxes for Senior Citizens and convenience meals, allergenfree food boxes.

Special holiday boxes are now available for Thanksgiving and Christmas. Online ordering was added recently.
