LET’S CELEBRATE — Bishop Centennial banners are starting to go up on city light poles, and Centennial officials are asking businesses and individuals to purchase their banners as soon as possible. Contact Cynthia Contreras, Bishop City Hall, at (361) 584-2567, Ext. 106. Cost for each banner is $300. Centennial banners will remain in place until the fall of 2010. Residents are reminded that the Centennial barbecue fundraiser is Sunday, Oct. 11, from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the Bishop CISD cafeteria, and the cost is $7 per at the door.
