Estanislado N. Torrez Estanislado N. Torrez passed away Friday October 16, 2009 at the age of 91. He was born at the Rancho Plomo Santa Gertrudis division of the King Ranch on May 7, 1918. He worked and lived on the King Ranch until he retired after working at the King Ranch Main House for many years. He is preceded in death by his wife Hortencia Torrez.

He is survived by his seven sons and eight daughters, Eleazar (Beatrice) Torrez of San Antonio, Neri (Lupe) Torrez of San Juan, Rogelio (Mary) Torrez of Houston, David and Ernesto Torrez of Kingsville, Oscar and Eloy Torrez of Corpus Christi, Emma (Humberto) Villarreal, Sylvia and Noelia Torrez all of Kingsville, Lucia Rodriguez (Roy deceased) and Nelda (Paul) Howard of Portland, Tina Hinojosa of Corpus Christi, Estella (JR) Abbey of La Porte and Arcelia Maya of Houston, one brother A.N. Torrez of Beeville Texas and one sister Adela Vela of Corpus Christi. Thirty-two grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren and nephews and nieces.

Visitation was held on Monday October 19, 2009 from 8:30 a.m. – 9:00 p.m. at Kingsville Memorial Funeral Home Chapel, with a rosary recited at 7:00 p.m. that same evening. A funeral mass was celebrated on Tuesday October 20, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Martins Catholic Church in Kingsville, TX.

Interment followed at Chamberlain Cemetery.
