Chavez - Chapa
Alberto and Maria Chavez of Laredo announce the engagement of their daughter, Miriam Chavez of Laredo, to Ruben Chapa of Laredo. The bride-elect is a 1992 graduate of La Martin High School and is a 2004 graduate of Texas A&M International University in Laredo with a Masters of Education in Counseling. The groom-elect is the son of Maria E. Chapa and the late Marcos Chapa of Kingsville. The groom-elect is a 1990 graduate of H.M. King High School and a 1998 graduate of Texas A&M University-Kingsville. A Nov. 14, 2009 wedding at the Mother Cabrini Church in Laredo with a reception following at Ambassador Hall. The bride-elect is currently employed at United ISD Middle School as a counselor and the groom-elect is currently employed as a Federal Probation Officer in Laredo.
