Free performance of ‘I Love A Piano’ at A&M-Kingsville Nov. 15
White Christmas. God
Bless America. There’s
No Business Like Show
Business.
What would the world be without these songs, just a few of the classics penned by music master Irving Berlin?
I Love a Piano is a singing, dancing, Broadway caliber show with more than 60 Berlin numbers, and it will be performed at Texas A&M University-Kingsville free of charge at 7 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 15, in Jones Auditorium.
This eye- and ear-catching revue uses the music of Irving Berlin and a cast of eight performers to sail through seven decades of the 20th Century, from ragtime, to the innocent 1950s and more.
The show comes to Texas A&M-Kingville as part of the university’s Presidential Performing and Visual Arts Series.
I Love a Piano has toured across the country. Among the show’s positive reviews, The Los Angeles Times called it “enchanting entertainment” and Variety called its performers “fresh and appealing.”
The Presidential Performing and Visual Arts Series is a year-long program of art, music and theatre performances that bring culture and variety to Kingsville for faculty, staff, students and community audiences.
The intention is to bring a new element to “learning outside the classroom” for students as they are entertained and educated in venues they might not normally visit.
Community members are welcome to continue “lifelong learning” by attending these events and interacting with our students.
