LADY BRAHMAS DROP MATHIS
H.M. King High School’s varsity and junior varsity girls basketball teams downed Mathis at home this past Tuesday. The Lady Brahma varsity team won 48-26. Senior Hannah Peterson scored 17 points (including four out of five successful three-point shots), nine rebounds and two steals. Freshman Jasmine Richardson amassed 13 points, eight steals and nine rebounds. Sophomore Kaylie Hahn tallied nine points, 10 rebounds and a steal. Senior Leila Barrera collected six points, nine rebounds and two steals. Senior Ashley Martinez contributed three points (one for two from threepoint range) and four rebounds. The Lady Brahma junior varsity team defeated Mathis 17-16. Scoring for H.M. King were Tayla Holliday (6 points), Adrianna Garza (4), Autumn Eggleston (3), Kimberly Rodriguez (2) and Marisol Garza (2). Both teams host Banquete at 5 p.m. and 6 p.m. this Tuesday. The varsity team competes at the Academy Shootout this Thursday through Saturday.

H.M. King High School’s varsity, junior varsity and freshman boys basketball teams host Corpus Christi Moody at 5 p.m., 6:30 p.m. and 8 p.m. on Tuesday. Memorial Middle School’s 7A, 7B, 8A and 8B boys basketball teams host Alice at 5 p.m. and 6 p.m. on Monday. Memorial’s 7A, 7B, 8A and 8B girls basketball teams host Alice at 5 p.m. and 6 p.m. on Thursday.
Bishop High School’s varsity, junior varsity and freshman boys basketball teams visit Ingleside at 5 p.m., 6 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. this Tuesday. Bishop’s varsity, junior varsity and freshman girls basketball teams host Sinton at 5 p.m. on Tuesday. The varsity team competes at a tournament hosted by Santa Gertrudis Kingsville Academy this Thursday through Saturday. Luehrs Junior High’s seventh and eighth grade boys basketball teams host Riviera on Thursday. Luehrs’ seventh and eighth grade girls basketball teams host Riviera at 5 p.m. on Thursday.
Riviera-Kaufer High School’s varsity, junior varsity and freshman girls basketball teams host Mathis at 5 p.m., 6 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. this Tuesday. The varsity team competes at a tournament hosted by Santa Gertrudis Kingsville Academy this Thursday, Friday and Saturday. De la Paz Middle School’s 7A, 7B, 8A, and 8B boys basketball teams host Bishop at 5 p.m. on Thursday. De La Paz’s seventh and eighth grade girls basketball teams visit Bishop at 5 p.m. on Thursday.
