Midweek Basketball Report

LADY BRAHMAS BEAT BISHOP

H.M. King’s varsity girls basketball team were an unblemished 2-0 in nondistrict play after the Lady Brahmas defeated Bishop 29- 21 last Saturday. Sophomore Kaylie Hahn scored nine points, nine rebounds and two steals. Senior Hannah Peterson scored eight points (including a three point shot), two rebounds and four steals. Freshman Jasmine Richardson collected four points, six rebounds and a steal. Junior Kylie Cranfill contributed six points and a steal. Senior Sara Zarate scored two points

The Lady Brahmas junior varsity girls basketball team lost to Bishop 31-24. Scoring for H.M. King were Tayla Holliday (17 points), Laci Bernal (four) and Kimberly Rodriguez (three).

BASKETBALL GAMES THIS WEEK

Memorial’s 7A, 7B, 8A and 8B girls basketball teams host Alice at 5 p.m. and 6 p.m. on Thursday.

Bishop’s varsity girls basketball team competes at a tournament hosted by Santa Gertrudis Kingsville Academy this Thursday through Saturday. Luehrs Junior High’s seventh and eighth grade boys basketball teams host Riviera on Thursday. Luehrs’ seventh and eighth grade girls basketball teams host Riviera at 5 p.m. on Thursday.

Riviera-Kaufer High School’s varsity girls basketball team competes at a tournament hosted by Santa Gertrudis Kingsville Academy this Thursday, Friday and Saturday. De la Paz Middle School’s 7A, 7B, 8A, and 8B boys basketball teams host Bishop at 5 p.m. on Thursday. De la Paz’s seventh and eighth grade girls basketball teams visit Bishop at 5 p.m. on Thursday.
