Toys for Tots launches new website kingsville-tx.toysfortots.org

The Toys for Tots Campaign has now felt the effects of the information technology age, as it launches its’ own local website, http:// kingsville=tx.toysfortots.org.

“The website is an exciting new feature to our annual program, and will go a long way to insure we can meet the needs of the community,” said Lisa Bockholt, Coordinator.

In addition to providing information about Toys for Tots benefit events and community activities supporting the program, the website will also allow the general public to make monetary donations online that will stay in the local area.

“People wishing to donate can now do so from the comfort of their own home, all with the click of a mouse,” Bockholt explained. “Best of all, those dollars stay right here in the local community,” Bockholt said.

Navigating through the local website is easy, explains Bockholt. The website even contains information on how to request toys, as well as how to get involved in the campaign.

“Our focus now is to publicize the existence of kingsville-tx.toysfortots.org, which we believe will help to streamline the campaign in many respects,” Bockholt added.

The local campaign serves the needs of the Kleberg- Kenedy County area, with overflow providing assistance to those living in Brooks County.

Applications for the areas less fortunate families are available at the Texas Dept. of Health & Human Services, on Corral Street, in Kingsville. Deadline to apply is Dec. 15.

New, unwrapped toys and monetary donations toward the local campaign will be accepted at Stop-n-lube Quick Oil Change and Car Care Center, which serves as Campaign Headquarters, through Dec. 12.

Groups or businesses wishing to make a large toy or check presentation, or conduct an event to benefit Toys for Tots should contact Lisa Bockholt at 595-0909.
