Clarence L. Theiss Clarence L. Theiss, age 80, a resident of Bishop, Texas passed away Saturday, November 21, 2009 in Bishop. He was born on March 25, 1929 in Bishop to George Theiss and Frieda Thiele. Mr. Theiss was a self-employed farmer in the Bishop area until his retirement. He was a faithful member of St. John Lutheran Church.

Mr. Theiss was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Maxine Theiss; parents; and two brothers, Roy Theiss and Marvin Theiss.

He is survived by two daughters, Jeannie (Randy) Smith of Seguin, Texas and Shirley (Leon) Rigamonti of Houston, Texas; son, Gary (Fran) Theiss of Austin, Texas; sister, Corrine Dube of Spring, Texas; sisterin law, Barbara Theiss of Driscoll, Texas; four grandchildren, Stacy Smith, Kevin Smith, Suzanne (Jeremy) Willett and Justin Theiss; step-grandson, Trey Longmore; great-granddaughter, Taylor Behal; great-grandson, Hagen Willett; co-farmer and best buddy, Darrell (Tanya) Lawhon of Bishop; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation took place on Tuesday, November 24, 2009 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Turcotte-Piper Mortuary, Kingsville. Funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, November 25, 2009 at St. John Lutheran Church, 301 East Main Street, Bishop, Texas with Rev. Melvin Antonio officiating. Burial will follow in Bishop at Restland Cemetery.
