Naylor named Defensive P-O-W
Texas A&M-Kingsville senior point guard Kayla Naylor (Corpus Christi/ Calallen HS) was named the Lone Star Conference South Division Women’s Basketball Defensive Player of the Week on Tuesday. Naylor keyed the team to a victory over Nebraska-Omaha when she had six steals, 12 points and three assists. She averaged 3.0 steals per game for the week while playing nearly 35.0 minutes per game. The point guard also connected on 5-of-11 three-point attempts during the week. The Javelinas went 2-1 during the week.
Naylor and the Javelinas are back in action on Friday afternoon at 4 o’clock against Texas A&M-Commerce at Kingsville Hampton Inn Court.
