HONORING THE VETERANS
HONORING THE VETERANS — Driscoll School invited area veterans to the school cafetorium for lunch on Veteran’s Day to honor them and thank them for serving the country. Students honored the veterans by singing patriotic songs, making place mats for their tables and banners for decorations, and by giving the veterans cards and carnations. The kindergarten classes at Driscoll School had special visitors on Veteran’s Day. Christopher Castillo and Edith Castillo shared some of their military experiences with the students and answered questions about serving in the military. Students were able to look at some medals that had been awarded to Christopher Castillo after serving in Afghanistan.
