The Kleberg County voter registrar has mailed blue colored voter registration certificates.

If anyone did not receive a voter certificate due to a change of residential address or mailing address, submit a written notice in person or by mail to the voter registrar’s office at the Kleberg County Courthouse.

The new certificates will not be forwarded, Voter Registrar Melissa T. De La Garza said.

The new certificate are effective from Jan. 1, 2010 through Dec. 31, 2011.

Voter registration questions can be answered by calling the voter registrar’s office at 595-8542.

“The Kleberg County Tax Office will be closed for the holidays December 24-25 and Dec 31- Jan. 1, 2010,” De La Garza, who is also the tax asssessor-collector, said.

“We will reopen Jan. 4, 2010,” she said.
