The battle of the Lady Badgers took place this past Tuesday in Ben Bolt as the Bishop Lady Badgers varsity basketball team beat the Ben Bolt Lady Badgers 47-17.

Leading the Bishop squad was Kasey Cavazos with 12 points, five rebounds, three assists, five steals and one block.

Also contributing in the winning effort for Bishop was Kelsey Hayes with 10 points, five rebounds, six steals and one assist.

Other individual statistics are as follows: Aricela Alvarez with 10 points, two rebounds, two assists, and two steals; Rina Rivera with nine points, four rebounds, two assists and one steal; Tori Geryk with three rebounds, three assists and one steal; Coralie Saenz with two points, three rebounds, two assists and one steal; Andriah Scott with two points and two rebounds; Meagan Sandoval with two points and two rebounds; Briana Reyna with one rebound and one assist; Alex Martinez with two rebounds.

The varsity squad competed in the Hebbronville Longhorn tournament on Dec. 4-5.

The next game scheduled for the Lady Badgers will be against Donna IDEA at 6:00 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 8, in Bishop.

Junior Varsity 35-14

The Bishop Lady Badgers junior varsity squad dominated the Ben Bolt Lady Badgers, earning a 35-14 win this past Tuesday in Ben Bolt.

Leading the Bishop JV team was Bianca Silva with 14 points, followed by April Rodriquez with nine points.

Also contributing to the Bishop victory are as follows: Bianca Reyna with four points; Alex Ray Sanchez, Victoria Ramirez, Jaycee Cronk and Dacia Cavazos with two points each.

The Bishop JV team will participate in the CCISD tournament on Dec. 10-12 in Corpus Christi.

Bishop vs. IWA The Bishop Lady Badgers varsity basketball team hosted IWA on Tuesday, Nov. 24 in Bishop.

The Lady Badgers dominated the game, eventually earning a 71-47 victory.

Leading the Bishop squad was Kasey Cavazos with 32 points, four steals, three assists, and two rebounds.

Other individual game statistics are as follows: Rina Rivera with 18 points, eight rebounds, eight steals, and two assists; Aricela Alvarez with nine points, four assists, three rebounds and two steals; Coralie Saenz with five points, five assists, four rebounds and two steals; Briana Reyna with two points, three rebounds and one assist; Meagan Sandoval with three rebounds and one steal; Andriah Scott with two points.

Junior Varsity 40-32

win over IWA

The Bishop Lady Badgers junior varsity team hosted IWA on Nov. 24, collecting a 40-32 victory in a very physical game.

Leading the JV squad was Bianca Silva with 11 points, followed by Tessa Miller with eight points.

Celina Pecos and Alex Ray Sanchez each collected six points in the game.

Also putting points on the scoreboard were April Rodriquez with four, Bianca Reyna with three and Dacia Cavazos with two points.
