Maria Elva Cadena Maria Elva Cadena, 71, of Kingsville, died on Saturday, December 5, 2009 in Kingsville.

Cadena was born on February 28, 1938 to Juan and Alejandra Castillo in Alice. She was a retired homemaker.

Survivors include one daughter, Ester C. (Tito) Rocha of Kingsville; three sons, Eduardo (Gavanda) Cadena of Bishop, Enrique (Belinda) Cadena of McAllen, Estevan (Rebecca) Cadena of Kingsville; one sister, Isabel Gonzalez of San Antonio; six brothers, Sylvestre Castillo of Barstow, CA, Francisco Castillo of Edinburgh, Juan Castillo of Nederland, Joe Castillo of Groves, Ramon Castillo of Port Arthur, and Jose Angel Castillo of Corpus Christi; 15 grandchildren, 1 great grandson and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held from 12 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 8.

A rosary was held at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 8 at Ramirez-Salinas Funeral Home.

A funeral mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, December 9 at St. Martins Catholic Church with Father officiating.

Burial will follow at Santa Gertrudis Memorial Cemetery.
