Not pictured: Mateo Guerra, Kelsey Richerson. Kleberg-Kenedy 4-H members had the opportunity to show off their cooking skills earlier this month at the Annual 4-H Food Show.

Members competed in one of four categories: main dish, fruit and vegetable, bread and cereal, or nutritious snack.

Members were interviewed from a panel of judges and had to explain dish preparation, nutrients in dish, food pyramid, serving size, and food safety.

Approximately 50 4-H members participated in this year’s event.

Blue ribbon winners will advance to District competition later next month.
