Helen John McCoy Buck, age 93, passed away in Corpus Christi on December 21, 2009. Helen was born in Goree, Texas on June 24, 1916. She was the daughter of Edgar McCoy, Sr. and Cordelia Eugenia Allen McCoy. She was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Jack R.L. Buck and her two brothers, A.W. McCoy, Jr. and Edgar McCoy, Jr. and one sister, Ola Lee Pearson. Helen is survived by one daughter, Janene Williams (Eugene Luke Williams, III) of Corpus Chrisit, Tx: two grandchildren, Eugene Luke Williams, IV (Claudia) of Littleton, Colorado and Matthew Lee Williams (Holly) of Corpus Christi, Texas. Also there are three darling grandchildren, Erick Lee, Alexandra Marie and a third on the way. She is also survived by one sister, Julia Jane Bartine of Katy, Texas and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 1 P.M. until 9 P.M. with the family present from 5 P.M. until 7 P.M. Tuesday, December 22, 2009 at Sawyer-George Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10 A.M. Wednesday, December 23, 2009 at Sawyer- George Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Steven Gaither officiating. Burial will follow at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens in Kingsville, Texas. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to River Hills Baptist Church or your favorite charity.
