Addie Lee Pullam, 98, of Kingsville, died Dec. 27, 2009.
She was born on Nov. 9, 1911, in Taylor, to John Houston and Mary Griffin Houston.
She graduated from Blackshear Senior High School in Taylor in 1929.
She was secretary of her graduating class.
She moved from Taylor to Kingsville where she met and married J.J. Pullam on Feb. 14, 1939.
Pullam was a member of the King Star Baptist Church and served on the senior usher board for 60 years.
She also served as a director for the junior usher board.
Pullam was also the church secretary for many years and the treasurer of the Sunshine Fund.
She was the Worthy Matron of the Order of the Eastern Star #159 and a member of the Heroins of Jericho.
Survivors include one nephew, Edward Houston of Round Rock; two nieces, Ruby Mae Jones of Compton, Calif., and Robbie Houston of Kingsville; two special nieces, Mary Jo Carson of Kingsville and Evelyn Corrine Houston of Oakland, Ca. and one special nephew, Woodrow Houston of Washington, D.C.; and a host of relatives and friends.
A funeral service was held Jan. 4 at the King Star Baptist Church with the Rev. Earl Jackson officiating.
Burial followed at Chamberlain Cemetery.
Kingsville Memorial Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
