Lesley Alfred Simank

Lesley Alfred Simank Lesley Alfred Simank Lesley Alfred Simank, 91, of Bishop, died Jan. 3, 2010.

He was born on Sept. 10, 1918, to Emanuel W. Simank and Pauline Moerbe Simank in Thorndale.

He served in the U.S. Army during WWII.

Simank was a longtime member at St. John Lutheran Church in Bishop and served in various offices within the church.

Survivors include his loving wife, of 66 years, Evelyn Simank of Bishop; sons, Larry G. Simank of Austin, and Ron Simank (Debbie) of Corpus Christi; daughter, Nancy Price (Alan) of Tempe, Ariz.; three grandson, Colin Price of Portland, Ore., Ryan Price of Portland, Ore., and Jason Simank of Corpus Christi; four granddaughters; one brother, Roy E. Simank of Austin; sisters, Dorothy Wuensche of Lubbock and Bernice Kieschnick of O’Donnell.

Visitation was held Jan. 5 at the Kingsville Memorial Funeral Home.

A funeral service was held at 2 p.m. Jan. 6 at the St. John Lutheran Church in Bishop, with Donna Shurley officiating.

Burial will follow at Restland Cemetery in Bishop.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. John Lutheran Church of Bishop or the charity of one’s choice.
