Robert ‘Bobby’ L. Rose
Robert “Bobby” L. Rose, 78, of Kingsville, died Dec. 29, 2009, in Corpus Christi.
He was born on Feb. 18, 1931, in San Antonio, to Louis Rose and Ida Kunkel Rose.
Rose was employed with Rice Well Service as a superintendent for over 20 years.
He was also employed for L.E. Ramey Golf Course.
He was also a member of the First United Methodist Church where he was active in the Methodist Men & Builders Class.
Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Emilene “Amy” Jesse Rose of Kingsville; four daughters, Rebecca Jeffries of San Antonio, Peggy Rose of Kingsville, Judy Rose of Corpus Christi and Leslie (Jason) Meadows of Killeen; brother, Billy (Pauline) Rose of Waco; four sisters, Joyce Adrian, Wanda Kelly and Nancy Rawls, all of Waco, and Shirley West of Florida; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Jan. 9 at the First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Sheldon Johnson officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 553, Kingsville, Texas 78364 or to a charity of one’s choice.
