Oscar Gonzalez Sr., 69, of Premont, died Thursday, Jan. 7, 2010 in Premont.

He worked in construction for many years and was an Army Veteran.

Survivors include two sons, Oscar Gonzalez Jr. (Leticia) of Premont and Richard Gonzalez of Corpus Christi; one daughter, Nori G. Cavazos (George) of Kingsville; step-father, Elijio De Los Santos of Bishop; brother, Roy De Los Santos of Annaville; four sisters, Nora Q. Reyna of Clarkwood, Viola Salinas of Corpus Christi, Refugia Gonzalez of Premont, Graciela Gonzalez of Falfurrias; six grandchildren, four greatgrandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

A rosary was recited Jan. 11 at Alaniz Funeral Home in Falfurrias.

A funeral Mass was celebrated Jan. 12 at St. Theresa’s Catholic Church in Premont.

Burial followed at the Premont Cemetery with military honors.
