Yvonne Carlton Yvonne

Yvonne Carlton, a 60-year former resident of Kingsville, passed away Sunday, January 24, 2010. She was 87. She was born in Springfield, Missouri on July 5, 1922 to Leonard Marion Miller and Elsie McWhirter Miller. Yvonne was a telephone operator for Southwestern Bell for many years. In 2004, she moved to be near her daughter, Jeanne.

She is preceded in death by her parents; former husband, James Bishop; husband, Jack Carlton; sons, Bill Bishop and Mark Allen Bishop; sisters, Anna Jean Neal and Souci Palmer. Yvonne is survived by her daughter, Jeanne (Charley) Mitchell; stepdaughter, Elaine Maldonado; grandchildren Rachelle Peña, Cindy Brightman, and Eugene Woodburn; step-grandson Christian Smith; three stepg randch ildr great-grandchildren, and five step-great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 28, 2010 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Turcotte Piper Mortuary, followed by a Graveside Service at 2:00 p.m. at Chamberlain Cemetery with Rev. Ron Early officiating.

Services are entrusted to Turcotte-Piper Mortuary, 205 General Cavazos Blvd., Kingsville, Texas.
