Andrew Hrncir, Kingsville Independent School District Athletic Director and Head Football coach, announced his resignation Thursday effective June 15, 2010.

Hrncir has been with KISD three years.

KISD Superintendent Emilio Castro said Friday that Hrncir had been offered other opportunities in urban settings.

Hrncir will complete the school year, allowing KISD to search for another athletic director with ample time.

“We are sad to see him leave, and it will be a big loss to our district,” Castro said, “He is a young man with other opportunities, and we wish him and his family much success.”
