PRIDE UNBEATEN IN DISTRICT

Santa Gertrudis Kingsville Academy’s varsity boys basketball team is 7-0 in District 32-A (18-11 overall) after edging Benavides 57-54 this past Friday.

Connor DeLaney hit the game winning three-point shot with six seconds left in the game. In the 32-A standings Ben Bolt-Palito Blanco is second - two games behind Academy - and La Villa sits at third.

Pride Head Coach Matt Gonzalez said his team has struggled with consistency when it comes to playing well on both offense and defense during games.
