Singing Men of South Texas in concert Feb. 18

The Singing Men of South Texas are coming to sing a concert at First Baptist Church in Kingsville at 7 p.m on Thursday, Feb. 18.

The Singing Men of South Texas is a 40-voice men’s choir whose members are Ministers of Music and musicians from churches from Temple to McAllen; from Del Rio to Port Lavaca. Once a month, they gather in a South Texas city to rehearse and present an evening concert.

The concert, which is approximately an hour and a half in length, consists of selections of sacred music, gospel music, spirituals, and contemporary Christian praise and worship music. Director, Tommy Lyons, has been leading the group for over 30 years.

The Singing Men of South Texas is one of six regional groups who minister throughout the state of Texas.

They have conducted mission projects to Australia, Brazil, Canada, Costa Rica, Mexico, Muldova, Romania, and in our country: Northern California and New England.

There are no reserved seats and no admission charge.

A free-will offering will be taken with proceeds going toward the next mission project of The Singing Men of South Texas.
