Gaze at the moon!
Look up to the splendor of the winter night sky for more than just stargazing during the first spring semester astronomy public viewing at the Observatory at Texas A&M University- Kingsville. The first public viewing, “Belated Valentine Moon,” is at 7 p.m., Thursday, focusing on the moon and other winter objects.
The free viewings will take place at the university’s 16-inch telescope in Lon C. Hill Hall. Parking is available behind the Memorial Student Union Building, corner of Santa Gertrudis Avenue and University Boulevard. Hill Hall is the aluminumdomed building adjacent to the parking lot.
