David Justin Diaz Former Kingsville resident, David Justin Diaz, 26, passed away Feb. 10, 2010, in Austin.

David was born July 8, 1983, in Kingsville, to David Diaz and Grace Villarreal.

He was a 2000 graduate of H.M. King High School.

He was an avid rock climber and loved the outdoors. He was a loving father and son and will be dearly missed by those whose lives he touched.

David is preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, David Diaz Sr.

Survivors include his father, David Diaz Jr. (Christy) of Cedar Park; mother, Dr. Grace V. Ruiz (Dr. Albert Ruiz) of Kingsville; paternal grandmother, Dalia Diaz of Austin; maternal grandparents, Arnulfo Villarreal and Antonia Villarreal of Kingsville; daughter, Rory Shae Diaz of Austin. Other survivors include his life partner, Veronica Baldwin; aunts and uncles, Tom and Sylvia Reid, Elena Diaz DelaCruz, Alicia Diaz, Daniel and Benita Diaz, Dalia Diaz all of Austin, Daniel and Linda Naranjo of Kingsville, Jonathon and Nora Ortiz of Villa Hermosa Mexico and Isaac and Brandi Villarreal of Bishop and other relatives and friends.

A prayer service was held Friday, Feb. 12 at the Kingsville Memorial Funeral Home Chapel.

A funeral service was held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 13 at the Kingsville Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Ruben Gonzalez officiating.

Burial will follow at Chamberlain Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers donatinons may be made to the Rory Shae Diaz Trust Fund at the Wells Fargo Bank.
