Mary Margaret Bedford Hill

Mary Margaret Bedford Hill Mary Margaret Bedford Hill Mary Margaret “Mimi” Bedford Hill, 70, of Bishop, died Feb. 11, 2010, in Kingsville.

She was born on Feb. 13, 1939 in Winters, to Willis Gladden Bedford and Mary Helen Nicholson Bedford.

Hill was a legal secretary for many years; after moving to Bishop she was a secretary at Texas A&M University - Kingsville until her retirement.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Bishop.

Survivors include one son, Leslie (Debbie) Hill of College Station; two daughters, Lisa (Terry) Wendland of Red Rock, and Lana Michalk of Bishop; four sisters, Barbara Helen Morris of Lawn, Gladys (Dalvin) Awalt of Midland, Russell Wells of Paris, and Leah Bedford of Phoenix, Ariz.; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Visitation took place from 10 a.m. until 12 noon on Feb. 13 at the Turcotte-Piper Mortuary in Kingsville.

A funeral service was held at 2 p.m. that afternoon at the First Baptist Church, 311 E. Fifth Street in Bishop with the Rev. Clif Abshier officiating.

Visitation will take place on Monday, Feb. 15 from 9 a.m. until 10 a.m. at the First Baptist Church in Winters.

A funeral service will be held that morning at 10 a.m. at the First Baptist Church in Winters with the Rev. Clif Abshier officiating.

Burial will follow at Lakeview Cemetery in Winters.
