Air show volunteers are needed
The Morale, Welfare and Recreation Department at Naval Air Station Kingsville is currently seeking about 250 volunteers or groups to work the food and merchandise booths March 27-28 for the 2010 “Wings Over South Texas” air show.
Each volunteer group will be paid the same percentage of the profits that are made from the air show, regardless of the type of booth that is manned, minus cash and inventory shortages from sales.
MWR will provide a parking pass for each day.
Food vouchers will be supplied to each volunteer each day, and vouchers will only be valid for food purchase. All individuals will be supplied a cup for unlimited soft drinks during their shift.
Volunteers must be 18 years of age or older to work at any booth, and 21 years of age or older to work at the alcohol booths. Beer servers must comply with all Texas and U.S. Navy requirements.
All food booth workers must have a valid Texas Food Handler’s Sanitation Card and must also meet all Texas and U.S. Navy requirements. MWR will be providing this class to all volunteers.
If interested, contact Delia Martinez at 361-516-6449 or email delia.martinez@navy.mil.
Applications will be accepted through March 15.
