DEDICATION — Former Kingsville resident Harriet Daehn was honored
posthumously on Friday at the Kleberg County Veteran’s War Memorial for her 23
years of volunteer service to local veterans. Daehn worked alongside her husband,
Robert, with the Disabled American Veterans organization and volunteered over
3,700 hours at the Audie L. Murphy Veterans Hospital in San Antonio. Daehn was
also active in the American Legion Post 99 Auxiliary and participated in over 300
military funerals in Kingsville over the years. Pictured from left to right are Veterans
