Nationally renowned brass quintet brings classical music, showmanship to Texas A&M-Kingsville

Meet the Synergy brass quintet group Meet the Synergy brass quintet group By infusing traditional classical music with highoctane energy, Bostonbased brass quintet group Synergy puts a modern spin on traditional brass music and performance.

The group performs about 300 times a year and their next stop is Texas A&M University-Kingsville, where the quintet will give a free performance at 3 p.m. Friday, Feb 19, at the Frank C. Smith Recital Hall of the Bellamah Music Building.

The group will sell their CDs and other merchandise at the performance.

With performances across the United States and into parts of Mexico, Synergy not only boasts a unique style, it also dedicates itself to the promotion of classical music education. They have visited more than 500 public schools to share their musical knowledge with students of all ages.

Observers have made note of Synergy’s “rock star” performances and “amazing technique.”
