John Lawson Castellaw
John Lawson Castellaw, age 81, a resident of Kingsville, Texas passed away Friday, February 12, 2010 in Kingsville. He was born on October 21, 1928 in Locust Grove, Georgia to David Alton Castellaw and Emma Kimbell Castellaw. Mr. Castellaw was a longtime businessman and was the owner of The Flower Box. He was a devout member of St. Gertrude’s Catholic Church and served as Extraordinary Minister. He was a member of the fraternal order of the Knights of the Holy Sepulcher of Jersusalem. He also was a 4th Degree Knights of Columbus and served as Past Faithful Navigator.
John was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Polly Castellaw.
He is survived by his daughter, Suzette (Franklin) White of Kingsville; and grandson, O’Ryan (Griselda) White of Kingsville; great-granddaugher, Zoe Paige White of Kingsville. Special survivors include his extended family, Joyce and Henry Bynum of Kingsville.
Rosary was recited at 7:00 p.m. Monday, February 15, 2010 at Turcotte-Piper Mortuary Chapel. Funeral Mass was celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 16, 2010 at St. Gertrude’s Catholic Church with Fr. Piotr Koziel as celebrant. Burial followed in Kingsville at Chamberlain Cemetery.
Services were entrusted to Turcotte-Piper Mortuary, 205 General Cavazos Blvd., Kingsville, Texas.
