Hermenegildo L. De La Paz Jr. Rev. Hermenegildo L. De La Paz Jr., 60, of Premont, died Feb. 26, 2010.

He was born in Kingsville, to Hermenegildo C. De La Paz and Dora Lucio De La Paz.

He was preceded in death by his parents and granddaughter, Danielle Lorainne Garza-Ruiz.

The Rev. De La Paz was a loving devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend.

He was a Pastor of La Hermosa Church in Kingsville from 2000- 2008; and presently Pastor of Templo Eben-Ezer in Premont from 1999 to present.

He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He leaves to cherish his loving memories his wife, Naida De La Paz; sons, Herman III (Yolanda) De La Paz of Premont, Dimas (Elsa) De La Paz, also of Premont and Aaron D. (Laura) Villarreal of Falfurrias; daughters, Nora (Juan) Ruiz of Falfurrias, Marisol (Joe) Soliz of Ft. Myers, Fla., Norma Jo De La Paz of Premont and Jessica Marie De La Paz of Karnes City; brother, Jose Angel (Virginia) De La Paz of Kingsville; sisters, Aurora (Ambrosio) Hassette of Houston, Angie (Armando) Arredondo of Ricardo, and Victoria Garcia of Kingsville; other survivors include 23 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and three that he considered as his children: Timmy Fin Santos, Humberto “Beto” Vera Jr. and Joshua M. Teague.

Visitation was held Feb. 28 at the Kingsville Memorial Funeral Home with a prayer service that evening.

A funeral service was held March 1 at the La Hermosa Church, 714 E. Ave B. in Kingsville.

Burial followed at the Chamberlain Cemetery.
