James Lewis Trafton

James Lewis Trafton James Lewis Trafton James Lewis Trafton, 75, of Berclair, died March 17, 2010.

He was born May 10, 1934, to Robert L. Trafton and Edith Mae Yeoman in San Antonio.

Trafton graduated from A.C. Jones High School and attended Southwest Texas State College.

He married Marjorie Eloise McCutcheon on April 15, 1980 in Corpus Christi.

Trafton was drafted into the U.S. Army and served during the Berlin crisis.

He was an environmental specialist for refineries. He was a member of St. Philip’s Episcopal Church.

Survivors include his wife Eloise Trafton of Berclair; sons, Edward (Lisa) Trafton of Schertz, Stephen (Sue) Trafton of Kingsville; daughters, Tammi (Keith) Johnson of Freeport, Sheryl (James W.) Hunt of Skidmore; stepsons, Curtis Lee of Garland and Maurice Lee of Scottsdale, Ariz.; brother, Robert L. (Frances) Trafton of Claremore, Okla.; 12 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held March 19 at Galloway & Sons Chapel in Beeville.

A funeral service was held at 2 p m. March 20 at St. Philip’s Episcopal Church in Beeville with the Rev. Howard Hartzog officiating.

Burial followed at Beeville Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Galveston Burn Unit, Shriners Hospital for Children, 815 Market St., Galveston, Texas 77550.
