SPECIAL DAY OF CELEBRATION
Kingsville Chamber of Commerce Executive
Director Alice Byers, with the help of the congregation, did the ribbon cutting honors
at King Star Baptist Church March 20 to start of the church’s 100th anniversary and
homecoming celebration featuring a gospel music program of song and prayer. The
homecoming celebration continues Sunday, March 28, with a 3 p.m. program at the
church followed by a dinner and reception at the Texas A&M University-Kingsville
Student Union Building Ballroom. For a pictorial review of the March 20 gospel music
