Bernal L. Rios, 80, of Falfurrias, died Monday, March 22, 2010, at his residence in Falfurrias.

He was born on Nov. 11, 1929, to Jose Rios and Francisca Longoria Rios in Duval County.

He worked for the State of Texas - Highway Department until his retirement.

Survivors include his sons, Rene (DeeDee) Morales of Saginaw, and Bernal (Betty) Rios Jr. of Falfurrias; daughters, Alma Rios Villarreal of Corpus Christi, Alda (David) Zarate of Falfurrias, Paula Rios DeLeon of Corpus Christi, and Clarissa Alvarado of Falfurrias; brother, Jesus Rios of Falfurrias; 20 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.

A rosary was recited March 24 at the Funeraria Del Angel Howard-Williams in Falfurrias.

A funeral Mass was celebrated March 25 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Falfurrias.
