The 32-2A Bishop Badger boys basketball All-District selections were recently announced after the state tournament was completed.

Bishop seniors A.J. Gaona and Grant Michalk were selected to the First Team All- District.

Gaona received a unanimous vote to the first team selection due to outstanding performances throughout the season.

Second Team All- District selections for Bishop were junior Dave Gonzalez and sophomore Jacob Beltran.

Badger boys golf tops San Diego Tournament

The Bishop Badger boys golf team recently earned a first place finish in the San Diego Golf Tournament held on Monday, March 22 in Alice.

The Badgers were led by A.J. Gaona, shooting a round of 76 to bag a first place individual finish.

Also contributing to the Bishop first place finish were Michael Crisman with an 84, Alan Scott with a 90, Jacob Reyes with a 92 and Jason Gaona shooting a round of 93.

The team’s next tournament will be on Monday, March 29 in Harlingen.

Badger JV

to host tourney

The Bishop Badger Junior Varsity baseball team will host a tournament starting at 10 a.m. March 27.

Bishop JV will play Odem at 10 a m. and then the Bishop freshmen team will play the Bishop JV team at 12:30 p m.

The concession will have hamburger combos and briskets tacos for sale.
