Epiphany school expanding

Epiphany Episcopal School is planning a major expansion of it early childhood program for the 2010-2011 school year.

An additional prekindergarten three year old class is planned for next year with additional classes to be added as space and need dictate.

Epiphany is an active member of the King Ranch Early Childhood Program at Texas A&M University- Kingsville, according to a statement issued by the school.

As a training site for Early Childhood education, the latest developments and techniques in developmental education are being implemented, providing training for pre-service teachers along with graduate and advanced degrees in Early Childhood education.

“Epiphany School will celebrate 60 years of providing quality academics in a non-denominational Christian setting next year,” Brian Coufal, board of trustees president for Epiphany, said, “and I can not think of a better way to begin that celebration than by announcing the expansion of our outstanding early childhood program.”

An effective Epiphany School Foundation has provided scholarship funds to many families needing tuition assistance, and an active Epiphany Parent-Teacher Committee plans and carries out fund-raisers to keep tuition at an affordable level.

The annual Epiphany Spring auction is planned for April 10 at TAMUK and will be honoring past Head Master Rollin Smith.

The public is invited and ticket information is available at the school office or by calling 592-2871.

Registration for the school year 2010-2011 is underway.

Parents interested in registering their children should contact the school office for registration materials, a tour of the school or any information concerning any aspect of the school.

Registration for the Pre-K 3 year old program will be limited enrollment based on application.
