Jesus M. Ortega Jesus M. Ortega, 79, of Kingsville, died March 28, 2010, in Corpus Christi.

He was born Aug. 7, 1930, to Miguel and Angelita Ortega in Driscoll.

He was retired from the Kleberg County Maintenance Department.

Survivors include his wife of 37 years, Viola Y. Ortega of Kingsville; two daughters, Sylvia (Joe) Trejo of Alice, Magdalena Ortega of Kingsville; one stepdaughter, Yolanda (Ramon) Rodriguez of Kingsville; two sons, Mike (Sylvia) Ortega of Houston, Alberto Ortega of Kingsville; two stepsons, Ruben Mendez, Javier Mendez, both of Kingsville; three brothers, Ramon Ortega, Jose Guadalupe Ortega, Vicente Ortega, all of Bishop; nine grandchildren; 10 great- grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held March 29 at Ramirez-Salinas Funeral Home in Kingsville.

A religious service was held March 29 at Ramirez-Salinas Funeral Home in Kingsville.

A funeral service was held March 30 at Ramirez-Salinas Funeral Home with the Rev. Julian Rangel officiating.

Burial followed at Santa Gertrudis Memorial Cemetery.
