The Kleberg County Clerk’s office will conduct early voting for the Democratic and Republican primary run off election April 5 through April 9.

Voting will be from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. in the Kleberg County Courthouse basement.

Assistance can be provided to elderly and handicapped voters by calling 595-8548.

Election workers will assist elderly and disabled voters with curbside service.

Local candidates on the Democratic ballot incude the following:

• Melissa Ruiz Salinas and Crystal L. Lomas for district clerk;

• Norma Alvarez and Joe Hinojosa for Pct. 2 county commissioner;

• Mario Delgado and Carmen Cortez for Pct. 2 justice of the peace;

Local candidates on the Republican ballot include the following:

• R. Blake Farenthold and James Duerr, for U.S. Congress, District 27.
