Mary Scalise Crowell of Kingsville, died on April 3, 2010, after a short, but courageous battle with cancer.

She was born on Feb. 9, 1955, in New Iberia, La., to Joe James Scalise and Loraine Priscilla Woodruff Scalise.

Mary worked for King Ranch for over 30 years, with the last 20 years being in the Wildlife Department.

Survivors include her husband of 27 years, Jerry Crowell; her son, Cord Crowell; and brother, Frank Scalise.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and brothers, Charles and Booger.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Mary’s memory to the American Cancer Society.
