Jose H. Perez Jose “Pepe” H. Perez, 89, of Kingsville, died April 19, 2010, in Corpus Christi.

He was born on July 26, 1920, in San Diego, to Jose G. Perez and Margarita Hinojosa Perez.

Perez served in the Civilian Conservation Camp during the World War II era.

He was a self-employed auto mechanic for approximately 50 years and was the owner of Perez Garage.

Survivors include his wife of 67 years, Cecilia Perez of Kingsville; son, Juan Jose Perez of Kingsville; two daughters, Anita Sylvia Perez and Maria Teresita Perez, both of Kingsville; and sister, Margarita Garza of Alice.

Visitation will take place from 5 p m. until 9 p m. on April 21 at Turcotte-Piper Mortuary Chapel.

A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. April 21 at Turcotte- Piper Mortuary Chapel.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9:30 a m. April 22 at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church with the Rev. Peter Thenan as celebrant.

Burial will follow at Resthaven Cemetery in Kingsville.
