MISS BISHOP
MISS BISHOP TO REIGN OVER CENTENNIAL
FESTIVITIES — A Miss Bishop Pageant will be held
Saturday, May 8, at 6:30 p m. in the Joe D. Trevino
Auditorium. Fifteen contestants from BHS classes,
clubs, and organizations will be competing for a $2,000
scholarship, bracelet, tiara, blanket and flowers.
Awards will also be presented for Miss Top Talent and
Miss Congeniality. Pictured receiving her crown as
Miss Bishop at the Diamond Jubilee in 1985 is Julie
Hines Causey, who will be returning from her home in
Maryland to serve as co mistress of ceremonies for the
event and to crown the new Miss Bishop. Presenting
the crown is 1978 BHS graduate Carol Alexander Scott.
Tickets for the event are $5 and may be purchased from
any contestant, the Bishop Chamber of Commerce
office, or Dr. Lawhon’s office.
