Bay Area Fellowship gathering will benefit victims of Haiti 'quake

Bishop T.D. Jakes will be among the guest speakers at Bay Area Fellowship Kingsville Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., where a benefit conference will be held with all proceeds going to the Haiti Cheri Harvest Life Ministries in Haiti.

Other speakers at the event include John Piper and Francis Chan (via satellite) and BAFK’s Pastor Rudy Garcia.

The Bay Area Fellowship student band will provide entertainment.

BAFK, along with St. Paul AME Church, previously donated over $3,000 to the Haiti Cheri Harvest Life Ministries in February through a “hamburgers for Haiti” fundraiser to assist with the devastating 7.0 M earthquake that struck Haiti in early January and left an estimated 230,000 people dead, 300,000 injured, and 1 million homeless.

Representatives from the organization are coming to Kingsville to give thanks and meet with the people whose generosity assisted them.

The event is open to the public and all area pastors and their wives from any local church are invited to attend free of charge.

Charge for BAFK members will be $20 and for nonmembers $25.

Breakfast and lunch will be served and all proceeds will benefit Haiti Cheri Harvest Life Ministries.
