Alberto Munguia Sr. Alberto Munguia Sr., 89, of San Angelo, died on May 10, 2010, in San Angelo.

He was born on March 3, 1921, to Antonio and Jesusa Munguia in Sarita.

He was a retired United States Army World War II Veteran.

Survivors include two sons, Alberto (Elva) Munguia Jr. of Falfurrias and Ruben (Beverly) Munguia of San Angelo; one daughter, Gloria Smith of Kingsville; half sister, Amelia Garcia of Idaho; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

A funeral service was held at 9 a.m. May 12 at Church of Jesus Christ of Latter- Day Saints in Kingsville.

Burial followed at Santa Gertrudis Memorial Cemetery.
