Juan G. Muniz Juan “Pumpkin” G. Muniz, 59, of Kingsville died May 7, 2010.

He was born May 8, 1951, to Simona and Alejandro Muniz.

Muniz was an Army Veteran.

He was the former owner of Muniz Exxon and Muniz Tire Repair.

Survivors include his wife of 38 years, Sylvia G. Muniz; his son Jon-Jon Muniz, Roel (Amanda) Muniz; his daughters, Melinda (John) Beltran and Melissa (Jesse) Ydrogo; two brothers, David (Estella) Rocha and Robert Muniz, two sisters, Irma (David) Calzada and Mary Lou (Raul) Tijerina; and 12 grandchildren.

A rosary was recited May 10 at the Kingsville Memorial Funeral Home.

A funeral Mass was celebrated May 11 at the St. Joseph’s Catholic Church.

Burial followed at the Santa Gertrudis Cemetery.
